A fascinating Family History
Immersed among the Baroque magnificence of Palazzo Musmeci and the Church of San Domenico, and a few steps away from Acireale’s Cathedral, Dòmini Restaurant reveals itself as a timeless place, where childhood memories blend with bold gastronomic aspirations. A project born from the passion of Daniele Finocchiaro, a restaurateur with over fifteen years of experience, eager to offer a sincere and warm welcome in an atmosphere that is both familiar and contemporary.
The enveloping and refined tones of the indoor area blend harmoniously with the ancient vaulted ceilings of the family home, carefully preserved even in the live kitchen. A large arched window reveals the beating heart of the “Domus”, where meticulous attention to detail translates into an attentive and passionate service guided by Daniele’s food and wine expertise, ready to share the secrets of taste with his guests.
Authentic Flavors with a contemporary vision
In this evocative setting, where past and present dialogue in perfect harmony, Chef Riccardo Russo orchestrates a unique culinary experience, celebrating the treasures of the sea and land of Sicily with a touch of modernity. Each of his creations in the à la carte proposal and in the two tasting menus – 5 and 8 courses – tells of experiences that celebrate not only family conviviality, but also culinary traditions – near and far. In fact, there are references to Asian cuisine and flavors discovered during overseas travels, giving life to innovative dishes.
Emblematic of this philosophy is the “Piazza San Domenico n°5” tasting menu, where the Stone bass marinated with the original Mexican “achiote” is accompanied by avocado cream, jalapeño and coriander oil, and introduces a delicious Lobster with chickpea hummus, paprika, baby vegetables, and a delicate crustacean sauce.
Chef Russo then invites guests to discover the Mixed Pasta, a tribute to the typical Sicilian “arriminata” soup made with scorpionfish, seafood, and parsley, followed by the Monkfish served with almond and black garlic creams, the traditional meunière sauce and vegetables with a bitter note, as a reminder of the simplicity and genuineness of our grandparents’ traditional cuisine. Sealing this sensory experience is a fresh and delicious dessert of Wild strawberries, lemon and goat ice cream.

With over 50 carefully selected labels, including Sicilian, Italian, and International excellences, Daniele Finocchiaro wishes to offer his guests the opportunity to always feel at home, starting from the choice of wine.
